About Julianna
I have been playing piano for 15 years, and have been teaching lessons for the past 5 years. I love helping students fall in love with playing piano by incorporating a mix of technique work with fun music that they will recognize and enjoy. I also strongly encourage my students to practice at home, and I have a rewards system I use to make practicing more exciting. Overall, I want piano to be something that my students enjoy. My desire isn’t that every one of my students grows up to major in music and be a concert pianist, but that they develop a love and appreciation for music that they carry with them forever.
I have been playing piano for 15 years, taking collegiate level classes for classical piano for 2 of those years. I have also played in many settings from concerts, church worship services, accompaniment for choirs, and others.

When I meet a new student, first I determine what level they are starting at (beginner, intermediate, advanced). Based on this, I tweak my content based on what they can handle at that time, and then we grow from there.
I have worked with mostly beginner and intermediate students, but would be excited to take on the challenge of more advanced students as well.
