Collette seamlessly adapts to help teach towards each individual’s learning style. She provides resources, even outside of lessons, to help understand challenging areas in musical compositions that you are working on. She can easily communicate regarding topics in music theory that I had previously struggled with, and has made it fun to learn about different musical eras, composers, and themes within pieces that you are working on. She is patient, kind, and interested in each of her students’ development. You can grow in learning the piano as quickly as you want to; if you put in the effort and work needed, you will readily have the necessary support and instruction from Collette. The passion she elicits towards her craft is palpable and moving. She is an extremely talented pianist.

Collette has always been completely flexible with my schedule when providing times available for lessons, or rescheduling lessons if a conflict arises. She also hosts a quarterly gathering for all of her students to come together, play pieces we have been working on, and share what we have learned, or experienced with piano. This gathering is so much fun!!! It is amazing what you can learn, and the inspiration you can draw, from others on the same journey.

Choosing Collette as my piano instructor has been one of the best decisions I have made all year and I cannot recommend her enough!
