About Robert
Ive always been willing to share what I know to people who want to learn. Usually my private piano teaching has been informal, and only now am I trying to make a career out of it.
I was classically trained since 5. Ive played and/or am familiar with much of the classic piano literature.
The music I mainly play now, jazz, blues, rock, I've learned on my own and by playing with others.
I have a music ed degree from Roosevelt University, and I have been a classroom music teacher for several years.

I want to see what they know, what they want to learn, and where they want to go with music. I want to impart a sense of exploring music and not being afraid to take risks and make mistakes.
Since Ive been a classroom teacher and a substitute teacher, I have had experiences with all ages and abilities and cultures.
