About Anna

I have been teaching classical piano to a variety of ages and levels for 6 years. My curriculum is based on mastery in music theory, technique, note precision, dynamics, expression, and rhythm. I ensure all my students have a strong foundation in technique so they can have stronger performance skills.

I enjoy watching my students make progress every week to become performance-ready musicians.

I have been teaching for 6 years and received a B.A. in Music from UNC-Chapel Hill.

I was a solo competition pianist before joining two orchestras during high school and eventually becoming the president of TACAS Symphony in NC. I have performed at Carnegie Mellon, weddings, and ceremonies both solo and with other types of musicians.

About the lesson

I offer each new student a free 15 minute trial by request. If the student has prior experience playing piano, I ask them to warm-up with scales and play the last song they learned.

I have worked with both adults and children, some with no prior experience, and some with prior experience. I enjoy working with people of all ages!

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
What was the last song you learned (if applicable)? How many years of experience have you had (if applicable)? Why are you looking for a new teacher, or what made you interested in learning the piano?
