About Ray
Hi! My name is Ray, and I've been studying piano for over 10 years. Throughout my musical journey, I've earned awards in international piano competitions, performed at Carnegie Hall, and studied advanced repertoire by composers such as Chopin, Liszt, and Mendelssohn.
I enjoy helping students build confidence and strong musical foundations. Whether you're a complete beginner learning your first notes or an experienced pianist preparing for auditions, performances, or music theory exams, I strive to make lessons engaging, encouraging, and tailored to each student's goals.
In addition to piano performance, I have a strong background in music theory, earning a 5 on the AP Music Theory exam. I believe that understanding music and enjoying the learning process are just as important as developing technical skills.
My goal is to create a supportive environment where students can grow as musicians, develop good practice habits, and discover a lifelong appreciation for music.
