About Shai
As a professional pianist who is also a singer, songwriter and arranger, who specializes in a vast variety of genres of music, I have a well-rounded understanding of music from all angles and I can give my students a very thorough music education.
I am fascinated by how unique and specific every student is and how different every person perceives music. I love trying to understand my students and explain music to them in the unique way that would make sense for them personally. Every single student is like a different journey.

I like teaching my students to learn songs by ear first, so that they can develop their connection to the instrument and learn to trust their ears. I encourage all of my students to create something of their own, to foster their creativity and their inner sense of musicality. I like to broaden my students' horizons and introduce them to a variety of genres and styles of music.
for the past 12 years have worked with all kinds of students - from 5 year-olds to seniors and everything in between; from beginners to people who play professionaly and want to improve on a specific area; from people who want to be eclectic professional pianists to singers who simply want to learn how to accompany themselves; people who wanted to learn how to write their own songs / pieces

Shai is a wonderful teacher, playing with her is not only a lesson, it's a whole experience. My whole family took lessons with Shai - my two daughters, my husband and myself. The one extraordinary thing about Shai is the intimate relation she has established with each of us. Shai "reads" her students and knows how to match the music and playing style to every student. We had a highly unique experience with her. I wholly recommend Shai as a piano teacher!
Everything. Shai is such a wholesome person and just being with her is amazing, but she also taught me so much and I feel like she gave me a musical pallet and a musical world that opened me to so many different ways of approaching music. Her teaching makes you love music to your core and the best thing she taught me is how to connect the music you play to yourself and become a part of it.
