About Alexandria

Hello, I have trained in classical piano for 12 years. I am very dedicated to the progress of my students. Learning classical piano can be very frustrating if you do not have the right teacher for you. I am hoping to become the teacher that can guide you through your musical experience.

I enjoy watching a student successfully play a difficult passage that I have seen them struggle with. It requires a lot of outside practice, and the work may be tedious at times; however, nothing can compare to the moment when you finally play it correctly.

I started teaching at the age of 14. I was a counselor for music camp, and I was required to be able to teach many different students who specialize in different instruments in order to put on a performance at the end of the summer. This experience taught me patience and understanding that everyone learns at different rates, and it is the teacher that must bend to meet the students needs, not the other way around.

I have 12 years of training in music from Conchita Espinosa Academy, a conservatory in Miami, FL that specializes in training children. From the ages of 6-18, I received weekly classes from Marisol Caballero, and I recently completed all levels of my training.

About the lesson

First, I assess their level of experience whether they are starting from scratch or have a few years of experience. Then, I learn their taste in music, whether they prefer allegro or more somber music. Lastly, we start step by step in tackling a piece of music that we have chosen together.
