About Suzanne

I have been teaching and performing as a professional pianist since 1994. I began studying the piano at age four, and first accompanied choirs at the age of 11. I have studied music at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, University of La Verne in California, and University of Idaho. I have taught courses in piano, music history and appreciation, and the history of rock music at various colleges.

I focus on the fundamentals of music and piano skills and techniques, while integrating fun and individualized lessons. Many of my students enjoy learning jazz, blues, and pop music along with classical technique. I incorporate theory and composing into lessons, and offer guidance on accompanying, playing from lead sheets, and improvisation.

All ages, from four years old to adult. All styles.
