About Sharon

While music is my passion, I am a certified Music Teacher, in order to be a good musician requires a lot of mathematical understanding. One of the things I have always enjoyed is the numbers. My father was a Certified Public Accountant. He taught me bookkeeping and I do that for my husband’s business. Today, I take the knowledge I have gained through math and bring it to my students. I help them to make sense out of what might seem to be confusing concepts. I work with beginners and intermediates to give them a strong foundation to build upon for the higher levels of math. I have taught elementary and middle school education in New York, New Jersey, and in Florida for 30 years and my students have always benefited from my calm, patient, and understanding personality.

Have you ever seen the eyes of a child light up when the spark of understanding finally comes alive in their mind? That is my enjoyment. That is what makes teaching so worthwhile for me. I have found over the years that if you develop that light within the child that they will accomplish great things not only in their school work but in life as well. I strive to bring this joy to all of my students. The 30 years of success that I have had tells me that I found the secret to reaching even my more difficult students.

I fell in love with playing the piano at age 7, by 9th grade I decided that I wanted to be a Music Teacher.

Bachelors Degree in Music, math concentration including physics of music, bookkeeping advanced under the instruction of a CPA

About the lesson

I ask the child what kind of a day/week have they had. We do some light talking and then right into the lesson.

Students that I have worked within Math has been elementary level students.

Find a teacher you are comfortable with, someone not overly demanding. If the person puts you under too much stress and you don’t work well under stress, then find another teacher.

is a Garth Brooks Live Concert.
