I would highly recommend Amy's Piano Academy. My daughter started learning from Amy when she had just turned 4 years old at All About Kids. Even though my daughter could not read, Amy's method of music and numbers (1 thru 5) proved highly effective! Cecilia is now 6 and is playing more complex pieces and learning to read music. After 2 years, Cecilia still loves the piano and enjoys practicing at home as a result of Amy's patience and knowledge. The foundation Amy has set for Cecilia's musical growth is outstanding, and I am very appreciative of the monthly concerts to help Cecilia's confidence when performing in front of a crowd. Her private lessons are very affordable too!

We started with her at my child’s preschool- she’s very patient and has a way of introducing piano in a playful way that my 4 and 6 year olds are able to understand! Lots of opportunities to perform and other learning opportunities. Pictures below are from a tv recording of one of the recitals.

I have now been taking lessons from Amy for several months and thought I would leave another review and update. Although I have tried to study piano for a long time (albeit inconsistently), in the last few months with Amy, I have a mini-breakthrough and learn something new and important at every single lesson. I am also learning skills in many areas of piano playing, including technique, theory, and ear training. Amy’s lessons are helping me develop as a more complete musician. I feel very fortunate to have an opportunity to study music with Amy.

Amy is passionate about teaching the piano and it shows. Her enthusiasm for music is contagious! My daughter has taken both her group and private lessons. I enjoy the recitals and watching my daughter learn pieces she has chosen. She has grown a lot and learned so much from Amy!
