About Maxine
I teach students as young as 2 years through adults to play the piano beautifully using the Suzuki Method. Students learn to listen very carefully and read music excellently. Through daily practice, students learn increased memory, focus and concentration that increases brain power, and acute listening skills. They become excellent performers by doing six studio recitals per year. Learning an instrument creates diligence, daily work ethic and self-confidence for success in school and life.
Working with young children is so much fun and very rewarding. I hold a music education degree in piano, two life California Teaching Credentials and have years of experience teaching in the public schools as well as the in home studio.
I love children and seeing them succeed not only musically, but with greater brain power, problem solving skills, confidence and performance skills.
