About Jnae
I have been a musician my whole life. I started out on the piano at the age of 12. I am now a music major at Ball State University and I have been doing percussion for 6 and a half years.
I enjoy making music. I also enjoy listening to music and helping others find the passion for music that I have found.
I realized that I loved seeing a look on student's faces when they finally accomplish what they have been working towards. Seeing that face inspired me to help other students get there as well.
I was in Marching Band and Symphony Band all 4 years of high school. I spent countless hours throughout these 4 years to prepare myself for the school of music. I know attend Ball State Univerity with a Music Media Production concentration. I am a second-year student here.

When working with a new student, I first try to find their strengths and weaknesses. This allows me to asses where the student's abilities are at so that we can help grow weaker abilities and strengthen the more comfortable ones. I then spend the next few lessons providing different exercises that will ultimately make them a better player and musician.
My advice would be to not only look at the person's experience but also figure out how strong their love for music is. No matter how good they are, if their love for music isn't present, it makes the lessons and practicing a lot less appealing. Finding some who genuinely enjoys music will give you the best lessons of your life.
