About Sharon

I have been painting in oils and acrylics for 15 years. I love painting all subjects but if I had to choose my top two, it would be still life and portraiture.

When speaking to a prospective student, I usually detect uncertainty and the assumption that have “ no talent”. I believe that if you truly have the desire to paint, you will be successful. I love watching first-time students who come in very apprensible and somewhat of a downcast face due to their lack of confidence. After one session with a student, I see huge smiles on their faces and exclamations of believability.

The majority of my students return for regular classes as I hear repeatedly, “I’ve never been taught like that! I had so much fun!”

I am happiest when I am painting myself or sharing my love of it with a student. I have such positive responses that it encourages me to continue what I do best.
