About Mary Lisa

I want students to learn and enjoy what they create. I believe that students need to learn the fundamentals of the drawing and the painting process to be successful in their creativity. I use alot of visual aids and color chart to explain how color can create 2/3 dimentional art. I enjoy teaching all aspects of the color mixing and how color theory is mastered in a well executed painting. Thru my teaching process I can help them reach their goals. I have been teaching for 5 years and I am an accomplished artist and showbasing my artwok at 3 galleries in Texas and Arizona. My website is (concealed information)

I paint 7 days a week in my studio and create 2 paintings each week. I have to keep up with three galleries I am in and I produce quality artwork. I teach 2 classes a month and also teach private classes as well.

About the lesson

I introduce my self and I show the student my collection of my artwork. I like to give them history on the Old Masters and teach about Plien Air painting. Showing the artwork they can also learn about Art History. There so many ways to learn. Drawing, painting, or reading brings wonderful balance in ones life. With the proper sturcture and disipline they can achive and think out side the box. Proper color theory and physical mixing and making color charts is a great tool to help students learn.
