About Susan

I am an elementary school teacher, I have 10 years experience in working with children in various subjects. I enjoy connecting with children and families. I think it is important to have a good relationship with families to make learning easier and more comfortable.

I enjoy incorperating hands on/differentiated learning in and out of the classroom. I love arts and crafts and creating visual lessons.

I have student taught first and third grade while I attended Fordham University for Childhood Education for grades 1 to 6 in New York City. I have been an assistant for grades 1 to 3, covered maternity leaves for second grade and fourth grade and have tutored children up to 5th grade. I have taught in NYC for 10 years.

About the lesson

I would like to get to know the student for a mini session, get to know the student's strengths and weaknesses. I would love to get to know what the student's interests are so it could help me motivate the student.
