Experience painting lessons in Laguna Beach with renowned artist Bebe Landers. Book private or group painting adventures in studio or Plein air adventures. Corporate group painting parties onsite or at Okto Lifestyle Shop. Every Tuesday night Bebe has a small group workshop at Okto Lifestyle Shop from 6-9pm with wine and food. Call to register and watch the photos every week to see the new painting topic. Supplies are provided. I love telling visual stories through painting about a wide variety of subjects and I love teaching others how to express themselves with painting.

People, places and things always appear in my work. From real to dream imagery, my paintings are infused with a recognizable world.

The paintings take many sessions, and each painting session adds a new layer of mystery and magic to the image.

I feel an image is successful when the collector of the painting tells me they love to look because they find more to see all the time.

My collectors enjoy sharing with me the memory or meaning invoked by the painting as they contemplate it in their homes.

Sharing universal human memories filled with love, light and hope crafted as a single pictorial moment, is the beauty in art that I strive for.

I enjoy everything about teaching art. It's amazing to me to see the happiness and satisfaction my students feel when they create beautiful paintings. It always teaches me something new as I analyze and instruct a student on their work. I meet lots of interesting and wonderful people. I paint to instruct so I am doing what I love and I really want to imbue the passion and joy of painting to new people and ongoing students.

started teaching my assistants when I had a business doing faux finishing and murals for over 20 years. I had a lot of enquirers and started seriously teaching about 10 years ago. It is so rewarding to introduce people to the joys of painting and see them flourish with real instruction. I saw a gap in the art teaching market. Paint and Sip is the new thing for painting parties but the images being used were simple, childish and nothing to be proud of. So I have stepped in with real training at my workshops that gives my budding artists real tips and tricks, and learning that sticks.

Four decades of experience as a renowned artist selling portraits, figurative, landscape, seascape, floral, stillife, abstract and murals for residences, restaurants, corporate and public spaces. Teaching throughout that time.

Trained at Art high school, York University BofFineArts, communication/design degree from ONTARIO College of Art&Design in Toronto, online atelier courses through VAA.

I have owned and operated successful art businesses since 1983. I have worked with leading corporations designing and executing murals and painting series. Same for high end residential clients.

About the lesson

I speak to students about their painting goals and expectations so I can design teaching specifically to meet those expectations. Some students just want a relaxing fun activity that's creative, others are more serious about developing real artist skills. I find out what subject matter is most interesting for them and then we book a 3hr window at my studio for private or semi private lessons. I provide all the materials and hands on step by step raining. I want my students to have finished paintings to be proud of, so I don't do paint exercises, rather I teach all the fundamentals of art as we approach each painting, and skills develop over time with learning to see artistically, looking for specifics in any image that make it work. I also teach a weekly workshop which everyone can join at Okto Lifestyle Shop in Laguna Niguel on Tuesday nights 6-9 for adults with food and wine from Tastes of Greece. Each week I pick a new topic to paint like. Such as Paint like Van Gogh, paint like Monet, or paint roses for Valentines. I take small groups out for Plein air painting lessons as well.

Lots and lots of beginners of all ages. I have also worked with advanced students to improve their skills. I work with anyone who truly wants to learn and loves the idea of learning to paint. I love my students and make sure they love the painting and feel really good about themselves and their work every painting.

I just taught 34 women business leaders at Capital Group for a 2 hour workshop on Monet. Everyone had so much fun recreating the Lilly Pond painting they were copying. Each painting reflected the unique personality of the painter which is one of the best parts of seeing the finished art. We lined up all the paintings for a photo and it looked like a huge lillypond!

Details

My workshops are 3 hours, small group with food and wine and cost $90 each or $240 for 3 workshops ($75). Semi private lessons at the studio run $200 for two for 3-4 hrs and reduce to $175 ongoing. That's for two people. Individual lessons would be priced based on discussion of time devoted. Corporate groups larger than 12 will get a further discounted rate per head.
