I am a people person, this is the reason I love teaching so much!

I have years of experience teaching a variety of age groups, personalities, and preferences, and I truly love making sure that my students get what they are looking for!

Get to know a student first, and make a plan specifically designed for this particular individual/ group

LISTEN first!

We all have personal preferences, and my goal is to make sure my customers get the best experience! It means the world to me to see smiles on your faces!

After 20 years of teaching, I have been privileged to work with a wide variety of age groups, backgrounds, and personalities.

And I love that!

I had an unforgettable experience with a family painting event where everyone contributed to ONE canvas which is proudly displayed in their dining room now!

Not a common thing to do, but it worked brilliantly!

It's truly amazing to see how creative people are!

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Tell a teacher what you are mainly interested in because each class can be tailored to the specific needs of a student/ group

Also, discuss the supplies, a good teacher may recommend a better place to shop or may be willing to “ build in” the cost of supplies into a payment, it can save you some money.

Perfect! Karina was wonderful! She did a painting lesson for our family of seven (with a wide range of kid ages) and she made it a fun and memorable experience for all of us. The kids created their own pieces of art and we collaborated on a family art project. She taught us some great techniques and helped us make art we will cherish. Not only is she a talented artist, but she is a kind, patient and fun teacher!

She does a great job of making you feel comfortable and creates a relaxing envirornment for newcomers to painting (bonus points for her awesome dog!). Very happy to have found her on here as I’ve been looking for painting classes for a while in DC without luck. Highly recommend!

I started classes just to find a stress relieving hobby and it has been great for me! She makes sure that the class is for YOU and your preferences, and not for her.
