About Julie
I provide unique plein air painting experiences for adults (16 and over) in and near stunning Estes Park Colorado, the eastern gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park. Outings are scheduled in advance. I provide:
All professional equipment and supplies (oil paint, easel, palette, 8x10" linen panel, brushes, etc.)
Painting instruction (currently limited to one person at a time)
I am also knowledgeable in the flora and fauna of the area!
We'll carpool to a location, and I will walk you through the basics of oil painting in the outdoors. You will leave with an 8x10" painting that you completed yourself--a happy reminder of time spent outside in our gorgeous surroundings. You will also leave with an equipment and supply list, and some notes on plein air painting approaches and techniques.
I can also work with small groups who have their own supplies. Ongoing lessons are also available. Basically, I will work with you to provide the experience and instruction that you want!
I am a professional, award-winning oil and mixed media painter. I have a BFA in Painting, have participated in a number of juried exhibitions, and have been awarded residencies at the Brush Creek Foundation for the Arts, etc.

It is a joy to see people have fun with paint. I love helping them to truly see what is in their surroundings. Hopefully they have enough fun to want to continue when they get home.
