About Cherie
I am a visual artist with a degree in Fine Arts and Art History. I use art as therapy. I’ve studied in London, Paris, Egypt and Cuba. I primarily work in the medium of paints (also pastels). I look forward to helping lovers of art blossom into their fullest creative expression and possibilities of themselves.
I work for Cincinnati Public Schools and I have taught children for 25 years.
i have a bachelors in Fine Arts with a major in painting. I’ve instructed art classes with Cincinnati Recreation Commission, Kennedy Heights Arts Center and Cincinnati Public Schools.

I inquire about what the student would like to cteate and build upon their strengths and weaknesses. I’ll do some research of subject matter and utilize my knowledge in combination with interests of the student to create a work of art...
I have taught children in preschool with disabilities, foreign languages to high school age.
Be open to different expressions and unique styles. Everyone is different and has something to offer as far as growth.
I instructed a summer art course at Kennedy Heights Arts Center in 2017. I incorporated it with poetry and collage mixed media to 8 and 9 year olds. I enjoyed the students and loved their final presentations of reciting their poems in conjunction with their paintings.
