About Tom

This Acrylic course teaches you the step-by-step techniques needed to create finished paintings in this exciting medium. Handy tips and useful tricks are highlighted and basic drawing and color mixing, composition and simple perspective are included. This class is for beginners and intermediate to Advanced artists (canvas, paints and brushes are not included).

In this Adult Painting class you will get a thorough introduction to working with acrylic paint. This class is for those who are new to Acrylics as well as those who are more advanced and need a minimum of guidance. All Student Artists will appreciate the supportive group atmosphere, the relaxing creative environment and the easy-going approach to mastering this exciting medium. Tips, basic techniques, and useful hints are shared freely with all ...and the results are truly amazing! You will find that painting is therapy in a brush. All your cares and problems tend to disappear as you lose yourself in the creative process. Making art is healing and life enhancing, and just plain fun.

This creative group is made up of a wonderful mix of people, some that have been attending for years and winning awards of their own, and some that come and go, but all learn a variety of approaches and skills that will take their work to the next level. Our wine breaks have become a tradition, with classmates taking turns bringing a bottle to share with the group. (We have named ourselves the Fine Art And Cheap Wine Group). For non-drinkers there are other refreshments available. So come and raise a glass and join us for the learning, the laughing, and the artistic camaraderie.
