About Sue
I teach people both the basics of watercolor and tips and tricks to making it easier. We start with a drawing to trace onto your paper and then paint step-by-step using a limited palette of six colors. Classes include both simple paintings and complex ones and are fun and low key.
I trained under many top watercolorists in the country to find my own style and technique. I was also an illustrator and graphic artist for 25 years before I started teaching watercolor and drawing. I am also a popular children's book illustrator.

I introduce them to the limited palette and explain how to mix primary colors to get secondary and tertiary colors. Then I give them my "Guide to Getting Started" to help them with the steps of starting a watercolor. New students also get more attention until they begin to understand the process.
