About Sandra

Please visit sandrabottinelli.com to view my work. I have been an oil painter for over 25 years and have a vast range of styles from abstract to realism. I have a gallery and studio located in The River Arts District of Asheville. This is where we will have our lessons. Please contact me with any questions. I look forward to meeting you and showing you the magic that is painting!

I taught art at Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida. This was my first teaching experience and I loved it. I was a studio teacher meaning I worked one on one with students which I prefer to a large class. This gives each student more quality time with the instructor and a tailored education.

I earned a BFA from the University of Michigan with additional art studies in Barcelona and Salamanca, Spain.

About the lesson

I would like to get to know you and what you are looking to learn. I also would like to know your taste in art, what are you drawn to, what moves you and why. This will help me get an idea of what you are trying to achieve with lessons. Additionally, if you have any work to show me that you have done, that would be great! This gives me an idea of your skillset and helps me plan lessons for you. Each lesson will be customized to fit your needs.

I have worked with children as young as 12 to adult seniors from all backgrounds and all skill levels.
