About Wendy

I started teaching in summer camps as an art counselor working with children from  ages 4 to 12 years.

I studied fine arts at Temple/Tyler School of Art for almost 3 years. I was an art counselor during 2 summers and I did arts and crafts while I worked in daycare for about 6 years.

When I work with a new student, I begin by making an assessment of their knowledge in the subject being taught. I choose a theme and allow the student the freedom to do the project their own way.  It gives the student an opportunity to show what they know and also aids the teacher in deciding what lesson needs to be taught. For example, a person who only knows the basics would not be able to do projects meant for students with intermediate skills and you wouldn't want to teach basics to a student who already knows how to work projects at an intermediate level. Push your own limits and surprise yourself by what you can do.

I was at a church organized outreach where I was able to paint faces...

Each class would be for 2 to 4 hours a day for $50.00 an hour.

If I travel to you,  add $5.00 for every half an hour drive to cover the cost of gasoline. (For example, an hour and a half drive would be $15.00, and a 2 hour drive would be $ 20.00.)
