About Marcia
Each student is a distinct individual. I strive to provide the tools that are unique to the student's needs. Emphasis is placed on what is possible. That is determined by the partnership of our relationship. There are many ways to train a voice. They include the technical as well as the aesthetic. The teaching is the exploration of these by both of us.
The pleasure of watching a student grow is what makes this teacher's hair curl!
My own vocal training spans 30 years. I performed for over 40 years: the latter has enabled me to provide the instruction that performance demands.

I begin with a casual visit allowing the student to express their goals, background and experience. I also share my own experience as a teacher. Finally I explain my methods. Emphasis is placed on how they will apply to the students needs.
