About Becca
I not only focus on vocal training, I also teach my students how to read music because I believe music theory is a crucial part of developing a strong voice.
I grew up singing with my family, with friends, in school and community plays, and in auditioned professional choirs, so I know the thrill that comes from a successful performance that is a result of lots and lots of practice. I love teaching kids and youth and seeing their confidence blossom!
I taught music at a private school and one of the students asked if I would teach her private lessons. As soon as I started I had many more students interested in lessons, so I became an official voice teacher!
I was vocally trained for 3 years in high school, then I was part of an auditioned college choir for 3 years, and after that I was in a professional choir for a year. I have performed as a lead in many plays since I was 12. I have played the piano since I was 5. I have a very good musical ear and many years of training.

I begin with a "get-to-know-you" lesson where we discuss the student's goals and past experience. This helps me to know where to start them in their training. We then set a date & time, usually weekly, for their lessons, and each week we will work on music theory, warmups, and songs. I will usually choose a few songs and let the student choose a few songs.
I have taught students as young as 5 and as old as 21. Most of my students are beginners, but I have had several students who have had previous voice teachers and were much more experienced.

She is so fun to work with, she understands music very well, she makes her lessons super fun, I love her so much!
I love everything about Becca. She has lots of knowledge and is very patient. She's excellent!
She is a able to cater to my daughters. One daughter has extensive training in viola. Packam was able to use that knowledge to build upon her lessons for vocal singing. The other daughter has no such training Becca worked with her on the basics. The group lessons are really great as well.
