About Maribel
One of the reasons I teach is to contribute to my community in a meaningful way and making a positive difference in students life's. Teaching is one of the most direct ways to make an impact. I am driven by the desire to help those around me, being a teacher is an invaluable contribution.

About the lesson

For younger students (elementary school) I like to start with a set of books including fun songs, technique building, and music theory. I believe young students learn best when they have a familiar structure to their lessons, and clear expectations about practice.
For older students (teenagers and adults) I like to start with a discussion about goals. Short and long term goals. Then I can recommend specific books that are best in helping them gain the skills they are most interested in.
All types of students from elementary to adults.
