About Alex
I am very passionate about music, as well as teaching people. Teaching music theory allows me to share both of those loves with people, along with helping students achieve their goals.
I started teaching by tutoring classmates in my theory classes at school.
I have a undergraduate degree in music, and am currently studying composition.

First, I like to ask students what their experience is with music theory, if they have taken classes previously, or are currently in classes, and also music in general. I like to ask about what their goals are, such as what it is exactly they want to learn, and what they are hoping to gain from our lessons together. After this, we will begin to build a lesson plan.
Mostly college students who needed some extra help, but I have also worked with younger students who wanted to learn theory.
