About Ann

Hello! I am very passionate about creating music and visual arts, as well as guiding others to feel more confident in their health and overall well-being.

I have taken 8 years of private music theory & piano lessons, 2 years of private violin lessons, and 3 years of drum & percussion lessons. I now make beats and write songs, while also studying professional music recording/production. My current mentors are some of the world's top producers & audio engineers, who have mastered tracks for Kanye West, Lil Wayne, A$AP Rocky, HBO, Fox, Netflix, etc.

I've also taken several courses in photography and art, from beginnger up to collegiate level (at Arizona State University). For a time, I ran my own portrait photography business; you can find my portfolio at (concealed information) . I also was a social media marketor for a luxury apartment complex, a coffee shop, and a frozen yogurt shop over a span of 4 years.

When I am not creating, I spend my free time meditating, studying quantum physics, astrology, philosophy, metaphysics, and the newest scientific advancements.

My goals with teaching are ultimately to help others express themselves, become more confident in their talents, and learn how to communicate through colors, shapes, sounds, & movement! I also aim to gift each of my students the power of trusting themselves and the understanding of how healing art is.

I was always tutoring my peers in middle and high school, and also taught confirmation classes in the Catholic Church while in high school. Teaching others is a natural and very enjoyable talent of mine, so now I seek to do this with music and art!

As mentioned earlier on my profile, I have taken years of private lessons in music, and several classes in art. These have ranged from performance classes, theory classes, and history classes. I also was a stage actor for 10 years, participated in music performance competitions for 3 years, and sang in various choirs for 4 years. Since fall of 2020, I have been paying for private lessons & mentorship in audio recording/production and songwriting from some of the world's top audio professionals.

About the lesson

First, I get to know them a bit so we can connect on a more personal level & eliminate any anxiety around lessons/practicing. Then, I ask about what they are hoping to learn from me, which (if any) other art forms they practice, how much time they want to invest in this, any outside inspirations they have related to the specific medium, and any other artistic goals they have/are looking to set. I truly personalize my lessons to each student, and am aware and honest about my own knowledge/limitations.

I advise finding a teacher who is very observant so that they can pick up on your learning style, and then catter their teaching style to better suit you! Also someone who asks about what YOU are inspired by. For example: if you are taking music lessons, find someone willing to teach you your favorite genres instead of their own favorites.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
I advise considering how and what you like to learn.

Do you simply want to learn art techniques? Or do you also want to learn about history, culture, the great artists of that medium, ways you can make money as this type of artist, etc.

Do you learn best by someone showing you how to do something, or by reading about how to do it, or both? Are you someone who enjoys figuring things out on their own through trial & error process, or do you like someone giving you the blueprint and being available to ask questions as you work your way through the process?
