About Aliyah
Welcome! My teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that the intersection of technical knowledge and practical experience is crucial for comprehensive, dynamic learning. As an educator actively involved in the music industry, I strive to offer students a holistic education, bridging fundamental principles and guided development with real-world applications. My curricula are personalized to each student’s individual needs, designed to adapt to the ever-evolving landscape of the music industry and maintain a commitment to core musical values.
At the heart of my teaching philosophy lies the belief that each student possesses a unique musical voice. It is my goal to aid in the development of the entire musician, focusing on technique and fundamentals, ear training, music theory and literacy, and collaborative musicianship skills. I am committed to empowering students to explore and develop their individual styles and strengths, fostering a deep personal connection to their musical journey through the cultivation and development of their personal interests. The learning process is reciprocal and inspiring, with a constant exchange of knowledge—the educator is a learner just as much as the learner is the educator.
Recognizing the rapid advancements and shifts in the music industry, I continually adapt my teaching strategies to reflect current trends and technologies to keep my curricula aligned with the contemporary music landscape. My pedagogical approach is grounded in a commitment to musical and personal growth.
