The sheer joy of seeing the students understand and eagerly try out the techniques that they are exposed to and sharing what kind of inspiration they had when writing a new piece of music is just so exciting for me to witness.

While I was at the University of Miami, I was the teaching assistant for the Professors and realized that I can give so much for the students with passion. I've taught four classes averaging 15 students and also dont private tutoring for a year

Film scoring, Video Game scoring and Productions (Media Writing and Productions) Masters of Music at University of Miami

Music Composition - Bachelors of Music at Indiana University

About the lesson

I typically take a day to understand where the student stands musically. It's a little different than understanding a student's musical performance to composition.

I'll also have to understand what the goal is, whether it be full orchestra or a short and sweet solo piece, when writing a piece so I can help guide to the best of my ability.

Look for a teacher who can teach you in the genre you want to be taught in. For example, if you want to understand classical composition, hire a teacher who can teach you coming from a classical perspective even if the teacher him/herself may not be a classical composer. This is very very important to keep in mind!

Scored the music to a film that premiered in Los Angeles Hollywood theaters and Austin Film Festival located in Texas

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
What kind of music do you want to create? Have a few pieces or songs in mind to share with us! Does trailer music motivate you? Does video game music make you feel awesome?

It really depends on the material that the student asks for!

Please keep in mind that there will be some software requirements and/or computer requirements for the student to own to effectively learn. Without some investments, it'd be like learning how to play the violin without the actual violin.

I'll be teaching the student everything that he or she needs to know to thrive in the Hollywood grounds.
