About Benjamin
I have played brass instruments for 10 years, primarily trombone and horn. I am currently in my second year at KSU as a horn performance major meaning I am still consistently learning from very credible professional horn players and look to share that knowledge with you.

I like to meet students where they are in their progress. I try to think of things the way they do to better explain and direct them. From there, we decide what needs to be done to improve what the student wants from the lesson as well as progress on the overall instrument and musicality.
Find someone that suits you as a person first. In order to progress and enjoy what you are doing you need to get along with the teacher, as a bad one can ruin the experience.
I was able to sit down for hours with 6th grade students who had never played a horn before and teach them from the very first steps how to put it together and care for it and the basics of playing. I believe starting good habits early clear the way for good playing later.
