About Vishnu
Hi,
I am a senior at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology with two years of tutoring elementary school and middle school. I have taught and tutored in various math levels, from Kindergarten to Algebra 2, and reading/reading comprehension at the elementary and middle school level. I also have tutoring experience in SAT Math and the TJHSST entrance exam. I have tutored a variety of students in both one-on-one and group settings. I have helped many students go from a C or B in math to A's.
I love tutoring because of the rewarding feeling I gain when I help a student understand the underlying concepts. I love teaching the beauty of mathematics rather than memorizing a few formulas. My education from TJHSST has given me a good background in math, and my two years tutoring has taught me how to be an effective teacher.
In addition to my tutoring experience, I also have extensive math and computer science background. I scored an 800 on both the SAT math and the SAT math subject test, scored a 5 on the AP BC Calculus exam, and attended TJHSST.
