About KEVIE
I grew passionate about teaching in high school, when I found myself the only upperclassmen in the front ensemble with 9 freshmen and 4 sophomores to teach. We did not have a front tech that year, so I ended up running most of the rehearsals myself and found helping others grow their skills to be very rewarding. It was definitely a trial by fire!
I received my Bachelor of Arts in Percussion Performance from The Ohio State University in 2018, and will receive my Bachelor of Music Education at the end of 2019. I have been teaching individual percussion & drumset lessons for 8+ years to a wide variety of ages and skill levels.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
As being a percussionist/drummer is such an expansive field, keep in mind the skills/genres/settings/specific instruments you are looking to pursue and improve. I generally advocate a well-rounded approach to percussion, but am happy to work with students who want to focus their skills on a particular area or instrument. Same thing goes for drum set- I teach my best for general beginners, jazz, rock, pop, and other similar genres so if you're looking for an advanced heavy metal instructor, I can at least provide some referrals.

Details
Lessons are $25 per half hour, or $45 per hour.
I provide one free half-hour lesson to new, prospective students.
