About Lori
I have been playing all band instruments for 37 years. There is nothing better than a smile on a student's face when they achieve a goal. I have been a Band Director for 15 years.
I started as a performance major, realized teaching music was much more rewarding than just playing and I have been working with kids since I was 14 years old, 17 in the school setting
I have a BA in Music Ed, Performance, a Master's degree in Music Ed. and have bee teaching for 15 years.

First I listen to them play, see where they are, give them some advice, teach new concepts, all while building a relationship with the students so they openly share their needs, concerns, and have fun.
I have worked with beginners through College-age students, I have with special needs and handicapped students.
I am will do anything to make you smile and have fun, I will challenge you, but not push you too far or hard. I will share musical knowledge and teach you in many different styles...but all will be done if a way to be fun!
Teaching online through the pandemic I learned how to use technology and formed bonds with my students in ways I have never been able to before.
