I got started after college and have loved it ever since!
I have a Bachelors of Music Performance and a Minor in Jazz Studies from George Mason University, in Fairfax, VA. I have over 8 years experience teaching guitar, bass, and ukulele. I also teach music production with Ablteon, Logic, Pro Tools, and GarageBand.

Troy Tyrer is an amazing teacher! I am so grateful for having him teach guitar to my boys, Alan and Leon. I am a super proud mom! My boys can play classic and rock music. I have my own background in music. I played piano over 9 years, went to music school and college. I know how important it is to teach kids music. Troy has taught them for 2 years and worked very hard. He gives them homework and practices with them in class. With Troy, Alan & Leon have learned how to play and love guitar!
