About Geoffrey
Welcome to the world of bass and music production! Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced pro in the field, I'm here to help you take your knowledge and skills to the next level. My approach is focused on finding common ground with each student so that the lessons I provide are tailored specifically to their unique learning style and needs.
I find myself absolutely captivated by the creative process of music-making, and I am passionate about passing on knowledge and wisdom derived from this journey. Collaboration is an essential part of success, and I've seen first-hand how invaluable it can be to have people who can advise and lend their insight. It's not always easy or comfortable, but it's necessary in order to grow and move forward. With the right attitude and dedication, anything is possible! That's why I'm so passionate about helping others realize their potential and reach their dreams through music. The joy that comes from knowing you've had a part in someone else's success is priceless.
That's what I love about music - the power it has to bring people together and help us become our best selves. Life is short, so we might as well make it count!
Teaching is something that has been in my blood ever since I can remember - my family are all teachers in the public school system. I naturally found myself helping people as they navigated their way through technology, music production and mastering processes, podcasting and event streaming. No matter who it was - everyone deserves an opportunity to learn something new. It's humbling for me to pass on the knowledge needed now and into the future so that individuals can use it for self-growth. In short, teaching has become not just part of my job but also a passion of mine!
My approach to music and audio production is unique, finding that time spent practicing isn't a matter of measure but rather one of progress. Instead of focusing on a day-to-day practice routine, I prefer to look at personal growth over the span of an entire month. By taking this longer view on practice, I'm able to develop and hone new skills to teach in innovative ways. My experience has taught me that better practice does indeed lead to better results overall.

When working with a new student, my approach is to assess their individual learning style and adapt my teaching accordingly. I believe that a one-size-fits-all model of instruction is ineffective, as everyone learns in different ways. Some benefit from discussing topics in conversation, while others are better served by visual demonstrations or hands-on activities.
I've had the honor of teaching students from all walks of life and ages, so I'm no stranger to diversity. One challenge I always face is that each student's learning ability depends heavily on their willingness to learn. No matter how capable a student is, if they don't bring a healthy dose of enthusiasm towards their lessons, it can be tough for me to help them get the most out of those lessons. That's why I always aim to create an environment that encourages everyone—regardless of who they are—to reach their maximum potential with #1 commitment and hard work!

Recently, I had the privilege of being asked to lend a helping hand in resolving an audio issue on a Twitch.tv stream. Little did I know that my contribution would be broadcast to over 100 viewers! After successfully troubleshooting and restoring the sound, I received many new compliments for my technical know-how and music prowess – all from just one experience! It's amazing how unexpected opportunities can arise when you least expect it: You never know who's listening and what could come out of it!
