I always first determine what they already know. What they would like to learn and then ask about thier learning style. I tailor each class to each students needs specifically.
I work with all types of students.
Always tell your teachers what you hope to do. Showing pictures of what you'd like to achieve is great. Be willing to listen to feedback regarding how your features or features in general will affect your outcome.
I recently had a bride who wanted to be able to do her own makeup for her wedding. I loved teaching her the best way to emphasize her natural beauty!
