About Bmarie

Teaching is my passion. I love teaching creatives how to enhance their skills and take them to the next level in artistry. We are more than just makeup artists, we are the key ingredient to making our clients feel confident and beautiful when they sit in our chairs.

I have been doing beauty since 2009. I stated working at a small mineral makeup kiosk at a local mall in Stockton Ca. My love for beauty grew more and more as I saw the impact that it had on each and every woman that I served.

Since then, I have worked with major makeup brands in the industry. In 2012 I won a makeup competition for Smashbox at Smashbox Studios in Los Angeles, did celebrity makeup on movie sets, taught monthly makeup classes at Nordstrom, was the makeup artist for photoshoots and music videos, bridal makeup artist for tons of brides and even had the pleasure of doing makeup for the ESPY awards along side on Tim Quinn who is one of the creators of Armani Beauty.

My passion for makeup has grown so much over the years that I decided to create my own line of vegan Matte Liquid lipsticks that serve women who are tired of searching for the perfect matte lipstick that does not leave them feeling dry.

When I first started working for the Mineral Makeup company Bella Pierre, my passion for beauty was ignited. I was able to move up from a regular sales associate, to assistant manager, manager and then district manager all in about a two years time. This title put me in a possition to have to teach and train my employees how to do makeup. From there I started doing makeup certification classes. I have been teaching ever since.

I have been trained and certified by CMC Makeup school, Smashbox Studios, YSL Beauty and Armani Beauty.

About the lesson

There are so many different avenues and roads that can be taken in the beauty, therefore I first like to find out where my students desire to be in the industry. After I find this out, It is easier for me to gear my lessions to setting them up for success and lead them in the direction that they need to go.

I have worked with students that know makeup, but need to learn techinque as well as students that have never picked up a makeup brush before. Everyone that has a desire to learn, can learn even if it takes a bit more training to get them to where they desire to be.

Look for someone that is going to challenge you! Someone that is going to push you to be the best that you can be, even if you go farther than them in your career. A teacher should never train or teach for you to be as good as them, but better than them!

I really enjoyed doing makeup for the ESPN awards for the athletes that just won metals. That was an rewarding experience! The Armani Team was amazing as well! I will never forget this event.
