I work with clients on academic achievement, sports performance, professional achievement and personal development. But let's get something very clear from the start. I'm not your typical coach. I don't provide instructions on how to study, how to excel at your job, how to train for a sport, or how to improve yourself personally. Most coaches focus on those kinds of straightforward processes, and they already do a good job of it.

Instead, I work with people who already have that information, yet still feel stuck or frustrated. Maybe they lack motivation, willpower and/or confidence. Maybe they know exactly what they need to go do, and how to do it, but they inevitably end up doing something else. Or they seem perennially handicapped by that dreaded phrase, "I can't because..."

Here are some examples:

* Consider a runner, training for a 5K. A regular sports coach might tell that runner to go run 3 days a week, increasing their distance by 10% each week, at a certain pace, alternating with some intervals at the track at a much faster pace once/week. And for many runners, that's enough. I work with the athlete who already has that information, but can't seem to get themselves off the couch.

* Consider a mid-level corporate manager, who dreams of starting his or her own business. He or she knows the products or services to offer, the market that wants them, the price to charge, and even the 101 other details to manage with a startup business. Yet that person just can't quite work up the nerve to start that business.

* Consider a student who earns solid B's, but gets nervous before each test. The student knows the materials but makes avoidable mistakes on the tests, which result in B's instead of A's.

* Consider an empty-nester or retiree who dreamt of all the things he or she would do once the kids were gone or the job was done. But now that he or she has gone through that transition, any given day consists of puttering around the house.

My clients rarely ask me how to do their target thing. Instead, they say they're primed and ready to go, but they can't because of the economy, or the market, or the competition at school, or 101 other scapegoats. Or they think they lack some personal virtue. Sadly, many have reached a point where they're about ready to give up. If any of this sounds familiar, that's a perfect time to contact me.

I can help you figure out the obstacles, AND help you work through them to finally reach your goal. Sometimes that's a single session, sometimes it's a process over time. Either way, I can get you moving forward again. I can work with you directly, and I can collaborate with coaches, primary care providers and therapists in a team approach if needed. About the lesson

Life coaching lessons offered by are tailored to each student's needs and level. Lessons can also be held online. Lessons are also available in Snohomish. The first lesson is free to define learning goals and methodology.
