About Charles

I am an experienced and successful Latin 1 through 4 teacher of 20 years with a master's degree in Latin, AP certification, and an AP Latin test pass rate of 75%. Excelling at making complex concepts easy to understand, I can get you to the next level no matter where you're at.

About the lesson

Latin lessons offered by Charles are tailored to each student's needs and level. Lessons can also be held online. Lessons are also available in Terrell Hills. The first lesson is free to define learning goals and methodology.

Perfect! My daughter was completely unmotivated in her Latin studies last year--except that she wanted to play basketball. Mr. Sipe helped her remain eligible through the season. But he also helped her attitude. She wanted to meet with him and asked to continue with tutoring for the rest of the year. She confided that she was considering taking the two optional years of Latin.
My review is to share that Mr. Sipe is more that a proficient and successful tutor. He also impacts your child. With his encouragement, her negativity and fear faded. There is great value in Mr. Sipe's tutoring. I'm most thankful for is the very positive change he made in my daughter's year at school.

We thought our experience with Mr. Sipe was a blessing from God! Our son had a very hard time getting motivated with his online Latin course. So he put it off literally until the last minute. Graduation was right around the corner.😩 After we hired Mr. Sipe and sent him the log-in for the course, he immediately reviewed the syllabus, online resources, etc. and came up with a rigorous schedule and timeline. He assured us that it would be tough but very possible only if our son would take it seriously and commit to the schedule. He assured us that he would work with him and do his best to help him succeed. Mr. Sipe was relentless about our son’s success!
Mr. Sipe never missed a beat. He spend all of the extra time our son needed during each and every session. His ability to teach the course in such a short period of time was absolutely incredible! According to my son he was “enthusiastic and energetic”! My son felt totally blessed to be tutored by him right in the nick of time! Sorry for the long review, but I honestly could write much more because I can not say enough about how blessed and satisfied we still are with Mr. Sipe’s virtual Latin tutoring.
In the end, Mr Sipe shared that he was impressed with our son’s progress and commencement. He was so happy to see him do well on the final exam and succeed in passing the course. You will not regret choosing him as your tutor!
