About Katherine
I'm a knitting pattern designer (see all of my patterns at SweaterBabe.com) and knitting instructor. I can teach beginning knitting, how to read patterns, lace or cable knitting, and much more! I'm been a knitter since I was 8 years old and a knitting pattern designer for over 10 years.
I've been an avid knitter ever since I was 8 years old. I've been designing knitting patterns over the last 10+ years. Teaching has been a fun way to share my favorite hobby!
I've been in the knitting business for over 10 years. I'm an advanced knitter and have designed and published hundreds of knitting patterns. I've taught hundreds of beginning knitters in both group and private classes.

New students can book a private lesson with me and I'll teach them as much as I can in the time allotted. I'm open to regular private lessons or lessons as needed.
Mostly beginners and some students that were ready to progress from beginner to intermediate by learning how to read a pattern or knit a sweater.
Find a teacher who is a very experienced knitter and that you have fun with!

Details
I offer private 2-hour lessons for $100. In the 2 hours, I can teach a beginner how to cast on, knit, purl, bind off, etc. They will learn what they need to make their first scarf! If they already know how to knit, the 2 hours can be used to learn what they'd like, e.g. how to read a pattern, fixing mistakes, knitting a sweater, choosing yarn, how to measure gauge, knitting lace or cables, seaming, etc.
