About Issac

Hi my name is Issac and I started teaching lessons early on in my riding career. I have taught students as young as 4 years old. I also enjoy teaching students in their teens or older. I has helped students ages 12+ learn their training level dressage test, perfecting their canter transitions, adjusting their position for jumping and dressage, and much more. I also taught younger and greener horses how to jump, event, and do dressage. I has successfully trained green horses of many different ages, and got dressage scores as high as 79% in training level test with them.

I believe to not rush students into moving up the levels, and want students to have extremely strong basics. I focus on the use of the riders aids and how to use them more effectively. I'm also aware that every horse and rider pair is different. My lessons are purely focused on what works with you and your horse, and I dont stick with only one technique for every student. I have a natural ability to understand what every horse and rider needs in order to gain strength and confidence as a team. I believe that when a horse and rider can harmonize and work together, the faster they will both improve. I will not teach you "kick, sit, canter". I teach you how to communicate to the horse and gain the mental and physical strength you need to succeed.

"Issac is a hard working and knowledgeable equestrian. He has personally taught me more in one year than I have learned from my old lesson barn that I had been riding at for five years. Not only does he have patience when working with you but he has the ability to explain something in multiple ways so it’s easier for you to understand." - Autumn P.

"My daughter was at an early age for horseback riding lessons and Issac has shown great care with her and the horses she rode on. He provided very clear directions for my daughter and communicated to me exactly what he was teaching my daughter, so I could understand the lesson for the day. My daughter and I were very new to the equestrian community, and the way he approached both myself and my daughter was greatly appreciated." -Eric S.

“Issac has inspired me to love and appreciate dressage! Because of him, I have been working to build a strong foundation and improve my knowledge.” -Megan S.

"Issac has helped to make me a more confident and productive rider. He was able to describe in a very clear way what I should ask from my horse, which I could easily understand and preform. I had struggles in the past in aspects of dressage, but Issac was able to successfully teach me skills that I didn’t know how to do prior. He is also very patient and kind. Issac would be a great addition to any lesson program." -Emma R.

Along with regular lessons, Issac has also done virtual online lessons. Sudents send him videos and pictures of their riding, so Issac can give them feedback.

"Despite living hours away, Issac has improved my horse and my riding greatly. He’s been so willing to help, and he’s able to communicate his thoughts clearly and help my horse and I improve. My horse has a tendency to be tense, and Issac has walked me through how he would go about softening him up. I chose to reach out to him after seeing the progress he’s made with the various horses he’s worked with, documented on his Instagram account, and even though I couldn’t have a physical lesson with him, he assessed photos and videos of me riding, and gave me great advice." -Callie C.

About the lesson

I start off seeing what they know, I watch how the horse reacts to their aids and adjust from there. Rider biomechanics are very important inorser for the horse and rider to truely connect.

Ages as young as 4 to ages as young as 60! Students with learning disabilities, students with confidence issues, students with green horses, green students with experienced horses!!!!

Make sure the horse always comes first.
