I was brand new to horses and riding when I first came to work with Sherry! Through lessons and discussions I have learned so very much. I appreciate her knowledge, skills, patience and friendship. She truly wants the student to achieve their goals. After each lesson I have so much confidence and always have learned something new about myself or skills. I continue to take lessons because Sherry cares about helping me be a partner with my horses!

Throughout my horsemanship career, Sherry has been there in an educational capacity. Not only physically for lessons, but mentally in the words she spoke; the ideas are permeated in my head.

The necessity of continued learning is apparent especially with horses. Sherry, when presented with many people/ horse puzzles, is an excellent troubleshooter. Within seconds of my questions Sherry answers with scholar-like precision resulting always with a value-added response. In other words, Sherry is very effective in accurate answers which has resulted in fixing the issue. Recently, I was riding a horse with not much impulsion. I relayed to Sherry that my legs were tired and asked if I should come in with my leg harder. Sherry stated that the answer can be opposite of what we initially think. She got off the horse she was riding and showed me physically how to use my legs to get the forward. I executed and low and behold, the horse moved forward and sustained the trot. Instead of getting a crop, kicking harder or using a gimmick, this exercise resulted in a horse that understood the request.

Moments like the above mentioned scenario are why I have always had Sherry as my go to trainer throughout my horse journey.
