About Michael
The foundation of our practice combines the physical with an inner emotional and spiritual journey. By integrating body, breath, movement, and meditative awareness, we strive to promote an understanding of the interdependency of all these aspects in your personal health and wellbeing.
The more I practice and sit the more Centered I am. This means that I am a benefit to myself, my family, friends and the society. This gives my life purpose and direction. I am fulfilled and at peace more often than not and when the inevitable turbulence of life emerges I am more clam and powerful in attending to it.
I have been teaching Tai Chi for over 25 years, mainly in Flagstaff and Sedona. As my wife are moving into the next phase of our life together (the children moved out) we are shifting our priorities as well and teaching others these stable and life enhancing gifts seems appropriate.
I have been a Tai Chi player for over 30 years. an intregal part of internal arts is meditation - standing and moving. I am also a memeber of the Sanga of the Huku un ji Temple a Rinzi Zen Budhist community. Zen meditation is sitting meditation known as Zazen.

Depending on which service or lesson they are looking for we have an initial meeting to determine what their goals are and how we are going to achieve those. Then we set up a time and a schedule to make that happen.
I have had and continue to have all ages and levels of fitness. Generally, I prefer to start meditation and Tai chi/Qi Gong lessons with children over the age of 8. There is no age limit on the other end...it's always good to move toward your center. :)
Be clear in your own mind about what you want to accomplish. Make sure you communicate that clearly to your potential teached so that you are both aiming in the direction you wish to travel.
It is always good to meet in person to get a sense of each other.

Details
It's $25 per lesson for Tai Chi Chuan and Qi Gong lessons. If you decide, you can pay for up to 3 months in advance and get a significant discount.(based on distance and number of lessons)
I teach classes at Indian School Park at 6 am on Sunday's, Tuesdays and Thursdays.
