About Kenneth
Nice to meet you. I am Ken L. I have been in education for 30 years serving roles as teacher, coach, and administrator. I have a B. A. in Government and Politics; M.A in Political Science; and a M. ED. Education. I have over 400 hours of tutoring experience with AP students nationwide.
I have been tutoring for the past 10 years and really enjoy the ability to work with students in an academic setting that is more "focused" than the regular classroom. I apply principles of coaching and mastery teaching to all my lessons - we do not move on until you have mastered the content.
I hold certifications in:
Composite Social Studies - 6 -12;
Advanced Placement - United States History
Advanced Placement - United States Government and Politics
Advanced Placement - European History
Advanced Placement - Comparative Government and Politics
I "specialize" in preparing students for the AP US Government and Politics as well as the AP U.S. History Exams. I am up to date on the most recent changes in both the AP U. S. History exam and the AP Government exam. I work with students throughout the year as supplemental instruction as well as test preparation. I have recently attained the Wyzant top 10% tutor category!
I am not limited to the traditional school schedule. I tutor 12 months a year, even during some holidays. I work 7 days a week and mainly in the evenings to accommodate the student's schedule.
