About Adriana
I have been a middle/high school teacher for 6 years. I have a M.Ed. from the University of Notre Dame and I am a certified middle and high school English and Social Studies teacher. In addition, I am certified in teaching English Language Learners (ELL) and spent 3 years teaching English and working in Spanish in Santiago, Chile. I am certified in Spanish at level C1 from the Instituto Cervantes in Spain.
I serve students based on the belief that everyone can succeed, and that there is no one way to learn. Through student-centered learning and frequent, individualized feedback, students are sure to see improvement in their abilities. My goal is in serving as your tutor is that you not only see improvement in your subject, but gain confidence in yourself as a learner.
In addition to my differentiated pedagogical skills in the content for each of the subjects I have taught: American History, Government, World History, Geography and English (both in the United States, and abroad in Santiago, Chile). I am very experienced in teaching research and argumentative writing, text analysis, vocabulary, and reading strategies.
