About Hunter

My name is Hunter Roberts. I've played guitar for 14 years and I'm the lead guitarist and song writer in my band Ocrium. If you're a beginner or intermediate guitar player or if you want to become one please let me know. I love teaching people how to do things especially guitar and songwriting and i look forward to working with you!

Honestly I really love watching someone develop as a musician. It's really great to see someone achieve their goals especially in music. The smile a guitarist gets the first time he nails that riff hes practiced a hundered times is the most satisfying sight. I'm here to make that happen.

I got started by teaching my family and friends who were interested in playing and songwriting.

About the lesson

My process includes teaching students guitar basics (how to tune, where the notes are, chords, how to read tabs, basic techniques, etc) as well as intermediate techniques (Scales, creating chords, playing along the fretboard and across the strings, triads, etc) as well as how to play the songs that the students want to learn to play. I really focus on fixing bad habits and creating good ones so you stay relaxed and comfortable when playing.

I've taught to people aged from 8 year old children to 50 year old adults. I've taught men and women as well.

Find someone who excells in the type of guitar playing that you aim to do. The students that I've taught wanted to play rock and metal. I'm a rock and metal player so this is perfect. Its a bit harder for a metal guitarist to learn and play classical and jazz so just make sure that you find the correct teacher for your genres.

I'm most proud of my band and the songs we put out. We release a song around once a month.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Know your goals. If there is a certain song or lick you want to learn you have to be ready to learn the basics first. Make sure that your teacher is clear on your goals and ask as many questions you can think so your goals are achived.
