Want to make a clarification for my guitar lessons review on March 25, 2025, since I cannot edit it:

Lonnie is more than capable of teaching songs on guitar. I meant that if I want to learn how to play a song I can do that on YouTube for free. I don’t feel like I’m wasting money taking lessons with Lonnie because he teaches me more than just how to play a song note for note.

Overall, teaching environment is still very chill and laidback. Lonnie is able to adapt to meet my needs!

Chill guitar teaching environment and structure. Doesn’t teach how to play songs, which I can just do on YouTube. Very knowledgeable on the history of music and guitar so I learn how to play and learn how it came to be.

Lonnie is an amazing voice teacher and is quite accomplished as a jazz pianist. Well rounded musician. He is patient, respectful and kind. He knows how to put people at ease and creates a safe environment for people of all musical levels to learn and reach their potential. Do not hesitate to give him a call and begin lessons. You will not be sorry! He will help you get where you want to go.

I have been taking piano and voice lessons from Lonnie for a couple of years now and I have found him to be a great teacher. I can say with confidence that my abilities have greatly improved since I started studying with him. Lonnie has an incredible amount of musical knowledge and his musicianship is top notch. His approach to teaching is individualized so I feel I am always progressing at a comfortable pace. I highly recommend Lonnie as a teacher.

Awesome vocal coach!

I needed help with my breathing technique and Lonnie was able to isolate what I was doing wrong and we started working on fixing my bad singing habits right away. He is patient and takes a very personalized approach to the musician’s/vocalist’s individual needs. He is also a talented pianist and can very easily transpose keys to accompany a singer to a key that best suits their voice. Lonnie has made me a much better vocalist and I highly recommend him.

Lonnie is a true musical soul. As performer, composer, and most of all in his teaching approach he delivers a heartfelt message to the listener/student. He has shown himself to be, in many areas of the music field to be totally knowledgable and dependable. My kids love him.

Lonnie is the real deal, he knows music and trains proper technique for singing. He is so patient and supportive of my teenage daughter, who pretty much hates everyone but thinks very highly of him. He brings out the best in his students. Multiple studios, piano and guitar, microphones, everything required to practice and perform in the comfort of his home, he's professional and creative, if you are already a singer he will make you a better singer, if not you will most certainly learn with his coaching.

Lonnie is the perfect teacher for a creative soul. He brought it a sense of musicality in my kids that we had no idea existed. I would recommend him as a piano or voice teacher for anyone.

My lessons were balanced with a focus on listening to recordings of jazz, drilling technique, and then later developing my improvizational skills on the piano. We worked on many aspects of music together, always using creativity as a diving force to try new things.
