There is no typical week, which is great. I try very hard to be available when the student needs me.

Guitar Techniques:

Lead guitar, Rhythm guitar, Open tuning, Fingerstyle, Slide Guitar, Vocal Accompaniment, Performance, Improvisation, Jamming Skills, Music Theory, Scales and Exercises, Song Writing, Guidance In Equipment Selection

Your first guitar lesson with me might include the following:

I ask pertinent questions to get to know the students' background.

It happened organically. Word got out very quickly.

I taught myself how to play and have been playing for 20+ years. It's because I remember my mistakes that I've been able to create a curriculum that is practical, effective, and fun.

I've taught hundreds of children and adults for 4 years full time.

About the lesson

I introduce the names of the strings and the general vocabulary we'll be using to describe the fretting fingers.

We start playing chords/songs immediately!

I love to have fun, so all my students show their version of what I call "the Rocker Face"...

I work with kids from 3 (ukulele) up through their 70's. I have extensive experience with Autistic & AD/HD students as well as those with Cerebral Palsy and Dyslexia.
