About Kenneth

My teaching approach: Guitar lessons are not "one size fits all." The lessons must be taylored to the student's needs, with an eye on the student's short and long term goals. They also need to be fun. Students also need to learn how to practice effectively to make the most of the practice time they have, whether that is 20 minutes a day or several hours a day. A gutiar teacher should also be continually working towards their own improvement and development, not just as a player, but as a teacher as well. My influences are: Pete Townshend, James JY Young, Tommy Shaw, Nuno Bettencourt, Steve Morse, Joe Satriani, George Lynch, Frank Hannon, Brad Gillis, Randy Rhoads, Pepe Romero, John Williams, Scott Kritzer, Tom Hess, Nick Layton, Paul Tauterouff, Paull Kleff, Antony Reynaert, Tervor Darmody, too many others to fit here. My guitar lessons take place in: The teacher's studio Guitar Lessons with me take place in the following areas: Richfield Guitar Techniques: Lead guitar, Rhythm guitar, Fingerstyle, Performance, Improvisation, Jamming Skills, Reading Music, Music Theory, Scales and Exercises, Song Writing, Recording and Production, Guidance In Equipment Selection

I love seeing my students grow as both musicians and perople. It's so much fun for me to teach something and see the understanding come into the student's eyes. When the students are having fun playing guitar, I know I'm doing something right.
